Measure the assembly, not just the room air
Naples outdoor humidity does not establish the moisture inside a wall, cabinet or layered floor. Ask which materials will be measured, which cavities cannot be accessed and what the initial readings mean. A dry-looking tile surface can conceal a wet assembly beneath it.
Coordinate drying with building systems
In a condominium, ask who may approve equipment access and changes affecting common systems. In any property, ask which electrical supply and ventilation conditions the drying plan needs. Do not move equipment or change settings without the responsible professional’s direction.
Get completion criteria in writing
Ask how monitoring is recorded, who reviews the readings and what supports stopping equipment. Separate daily equipment charges from fixed work and identify who approves changes. Replacement finishes should not conceal an unresolved moisture source or an assembly that has not met the agreed criteria.
