Describe indoor water and outside floodwater separately
A supply-line release in a Naples condominium and water entering from outdoors create different access and contamination questions. From a safe position, describe the source, the time discovered and which rooms were reached. Disclose any sewage or outdoor water; do not enter water to estimate its depth.
Plan access before equipment arrives
For a unit in a shared building, identify who controls entry, elevators and common areas. Ask the manager whether water reached another unit and who can authorize work. For a ground-level home, describe safely observed thresholds and affected floor coverings. The receiving business must confirm its ability to handle the address and conditions.
Separate removal from the next decision
Ask for the rooms and materials included in the extraction scope, the assessment charge, contents handling and waste disposal. Removing visible water does not establish that flooring, baseboards or cabinets are dry. Request the moisture assessment and a separate explanation of demolition or reconstruction.
